Fresh out of the promised land of Germany, comes this very special release. Recordings that sound as they are made under water, with a laidback attitude hinting a bit of dub, taking the core ingredients for good warehouse tracks and slowing the pace down into a heart stopping rate.

A lot of style is presented into the first track, ‘Last Flight to Cologne’, that brings a lot of attention to the reduced mechanics going on in the background that makes it mesmerizing and extremely pleasant.

On the B-sides, the structure is maintained in an excellent way, but switched the attitude of dub into a more jacking sense, twisting the ambience up and picking up the pace. Spacious synths combined with a steady beat and evolvement brings the attention of the track to a more direct feel.

The big payoff however is on the last track, ‘Minus 126 in Berlin’, which from the first beat hypnotizes and get things into a very tripping state, the flow is very persistant and constant and keeps on going and going and going …

Excellent production this one, out of nowhere – my guess is that it’s limited copies, so be quick!

Raw and heavy warehouse sessions, forged by Modern Love’s Claro Intelecto.

From the first track you get thrown into the reduced and energetic sound that feels rough with a minimalistic edge. The sound transforms into different styles, ranging down to the deepest dub flowing and jacking techno to timeless structures from the 90′s, making a persistent effort to keep you focused.

It’s hard to define Claro Intelectos sound. It varies a lot and always keeps an experimental edge to it that flow through all frequencies and percussion. A certain remark is that he clearly shows that he is capable of delivering good material, with both frequent releasing and maintaining a high standard in the productions. Every track keeps a slow pace with horizontal energy and progression, which makes sense in the right context.

My favorite tracks:

New Dawn

Instinct

Hunt You Down

Momento
